How to Help Adults, and Children Through the Grieving Process

With the holidays approaching it's a sad time for those grieving deceased family members. I know my Dad died around Christmas, one day after his birthday.

What really helped me was my friend sent my Mom and myself a series of Insight books on the grieving process.

The Special Care Series by Doug Manning a minister is sent over a period of a year. Each booklet is designed to hit your mailbox just when you need to hear those words the most. If you give all 4 books at once to your friend they won't be ready to hear it, or take it all in. Rev. Manning seems to have a special gift in knowing what to say.

He has other books too, on funerals, and books written in Spanish.

One book is entitled Thoughts for the Holidays-Finding Permission to Grieve".

There are books designed for children, and adult children also, as well as books for the left behind spouse.

You can order a catalog through Insight books website. They are based in Oklahoma City, OK so you are supporting the good old USA, too! So many books nowadays are printed overseas.

You can also order the four book set, The Special Care Series through Amazon.com, in order.  to buy now from Amazon, just click on the link below.

You can order the books for yourself, or for a friend.  I highly recommend them!
