How To Identify And Kill Leaf Footed Bugs

Leaf footed bugs are a terrible pest to tomato growers. You have the best tomato plants that you have ever grown. They begin to bear fruit and suddenly you notice that there are black spots on the fruit and it begins to rot on the vine.

The leaves of your tomato plants shrivel. You notice a funny looking bug with long wide legs and you see lots of little beetle looking young, which are orange - reddish in color, scurrying around in clusters around the fruit. You have a leaf footed bug infestation.

Many organic gardeners are reluctant to kill these bugs since they mistake them for a beneficial insect known as the assassin beetle. There are obvious differences though. Here is how to kill these pests in an eco friendly manner.
