If you want to make affiliate commissions the first thing you need to do is sign up to be an affiliate. It's best if you're a newbie to start with Amazon or Ebay since these two are well known and trusted by consumers. You see, it's important that the trust factor is there. And since they don't trust you, because they don't know you, then they have to trust the company.

It's a good idea to have a blog or site up with content ready to go. They do ask for a website url, so you want to have one to give them. If you don't have one then go to Blogger or Wordpress and set one up. Blogger is much easier and completely free. Wordpress has a learning curve and you need to purchase web hosting and a domain.

You can always transport your Blogger blog over to WP later if it's profitable. You can make affiliate commissions with a Blogger blog they allow affiliate links and you can also make money with Adsense on Blogger. If you don't the up keep of a blog you can use Weebly, it's a static site and is completely free just like Blogger.

Okay, you have your site set up with several posts and it's looking pretty good. You apply at Amazon first, it's the easiest and some people get rejected at Ebay. Just a heads up, it may not happen, but it can. Once you get accepted at Amazon you look for products that relate to your topic or niche. Amazon has a lot to choose from which is good, however, they don't pay much, only 4% to start. The good news is that it will go up the more you sell.

The third thing you to do is sign up with Clickbank. I've never heard of them rejecting anyone. They sell digital products and the customer can download their purchase right away. There are some downsides to clickbank. For one, their payout system is bad; nobody likes how they make you jump through hoops. Two, there's a lot of suspicion going on about affiliates not getting their affiliate commissions. No one knows if this is because links are getting hi-jacked or if Clickbank is behind the drop off in sales.

The good thing about Clickbank is that once you do get past the payout hold up then you can make good money. Oh and one other thing about Clickbank is that they get a lot of refunds, so prepare for this.

To make affiliate commissions it's good to know what you're doing. It takes a lot of work and know how. The best place to get know how, as an affiliate marketer, is in the Warrior Forum. That is, if you can't afford a mentor. The WF is a great place to read threads and ask questions. There are very knowledgeable marketers in the WF that will help you if you act right. If you have a bad attitude then you're in trouble, they will call you out! Not only that you might get kicked out, so you need to be nice.
