I recommend selling a few unwanted items from around your home such as old mobile phones to get used to the seller controls and tools. After you sell you first 3 items you’ll will need to update to a merchant account in order to continue trading.

In order to accept payments from credit/debit cards and paypal your eBay account will need to be linked to an active paypal account available at www.paypal.com. Using paypal also gives your customers added security and makes you more appealing to buy from

When deciding what you want to sell you should consider if you want to sell fewer higher value sales like games consoles and television sets or frequent lower value sales such as eBooks or stationary or a mix of both . Sellers have also cashed in on niche markets such as rare coins.

After you have decided what products you wish to sell you will need to find reliable suppliers. When dealing with a new supplier ask if they sell sample products (some even give away free samples)or buy only the minimum order to find out if the supplier is trust worthy and genuine before parting with large amounts of cash.

When listing items make your adverts as appealing as possible. Listing with pictures tend to make more sales. To get images for your products simply go to the manufacturers website. Try special offers like ‘buy one get one free’ or ’’free postage’’ .Every one loves to find a bargain . Play about and find out what marketing technique works best for your product.

Customer service is paramount to a successful eBay business as your feedback (where customers rate you’re service) can make or break you. Always use accurate descriptions of your products and answer any questions from your customers. Try to settle disputes quickly. The more positive feed back you receive the more likely you are to sell your products.
