How to Make Sure Your Mobile is Ex-Directory

A new Directory Enquiries Service will be launched later this month. It hold millions of UK mobile telephone numbers, names and addresses. There are 42,000,000 mobiles (cell phones) in the UK and a good proportion will be available from this new Directory Enquiry Service. Have you opted out yet? You can become ex-directory by contacting the company direct. It takes 4 weeks for them to remove your details (if they have them).

Details are found at the following link. Another option is to change your number with your provider or buy a new mobile phone (with a new number) and opt out from the start.

How the Mobile Phone Directory Works...

You call up the directory (see link above) and ask for the number of anyone you want to call - this could be a celebrity or your own (should you wish to stalk a celeb or to test to see if they have youre number).  If they have the number they tell you that they hold it but, before they can divulge it they have to call the person and ask for their permission... It must be annoying for celebs who have not opted out...
