How Much Adsense Earnings Can A Newbie Make on Xomba?

How Much Adsense Earnings Can A Newbie Make on Xomba?

8
points

This is especially for all you newbies out there. I remember when I joined Xomba in September, I had absolutely no idea that there was money to be made online. I thought all these money making sites were just fairy tales.

First few days are bad... You are new and you still confuse between blurbs and bytes, your adsense earnings are miserly, you keep on posting what you think will get money, finally in desperation, sleazy stuff...you copy and paste a line or two for blurbs (because it does say that xomblurbs are for pointing out good stuff, and you think pasting a line or two is pointing - but plagiarization is plagiarization - 1 line or Ten lines!), Nick bans you, you curse...

Believe me, there is always a blending problem when you start any new job, Xomba is not any different!

If however, you survive all this you will find you have a crystalline view on how to make money. See, through all these you have been posting. You have posted, lets say, 20X10=200 interesting blurbs and maybe a few good bytes too in ten days. And suddenly your adsense account looks better. You are earning in dollars, not cents. A single good blurb/byte that catches fancy can make 2-3 dollars in a few hours! I had made 4 dollars on my fourth day at Xomba and I had never before written online. It takes 2 hours to post that 20 blurbs...and in 100 days you will have 2000 blurbs. That will give you an average earning of 10 dollars a day! So, its not bad you see -3rd month and you are making $ 300 a month! Yes as a newbie you can easily get that...and it will be worth the effort...

Its only my 5th month online, I dont know where my online earnings are headed from here, but I am surely enjoying it! And am striving to reach that $1000 a month...maybe next month?

If someone is trying to earn some scratch from Day 1, then there must be consistent effort in posting with several quality posts every day. This is definitely not something someone can take long breaks and throw up a few shoddy posts here and there and still expect to earn anything.

Great article!

You have to be realistic, though... just because a person has 2000 blurbs doesn't mean every one of them is going to earn x amount of cents or dollars each day, or even each week.

Some blurbs will earn no money at all, even if they are about a topic that is "hot" in the search engines (especially if there's lots of other content about the same subject). Some posts on a timely news topic will earn some good money when that subject is hot, but once interest in that topic dies out (sometimes within hours), so do the page views (and earnings) for that post.

Yes, it would do new writers to have realistic expectations and not expect to shatter AdSense records out the gate. That's why I always harp on quality and consistency. One without the other rarely pays well.

From a newbie's perspective, it's better to focus on learning how to write rather than how to make money. If quality and consistency are learned early and applied, the money usually follows.

are THE keywords...newbies or not...we cant all be Dedom, comes and posts a byte out of the blue and 2000 hits! great stuff!

and like idlewild says...only one in many will get money...so the more you write the probability of hitting paydirt is higher...so its back to consistency and quality!

I don't think the shotgun approach works that well.

Thanks for the pointers. I'm a newbie and I've read quite a few 'bytes' and 'blurbs' to get a feel for the site. And I've already earned over a dollar. This is encouraging since most of it was from a 200 word article (xombyte).

Welcome LuvToSurf. I've been at this about a week longer than you... and have about a dollar more, LOL. Here's to our future success!

It's nice to be a member of a real revenue sharing site. I like this much better than sites that use a special "algorithm."

Thanks for the comments.

just a little more sharing of my experiences

- diverse unusual topics have given better results
- there are some topics that have an "expiry" like a particular game, and if one just concentrates on that one loses the long term revenue
- and as idle said 2000 blurbs doesnt mean 10 dollars, but if they are on interesting issues chances are high. but dont stop at that 2000 blurbs - there are many many topics out there waiting to be covered!

and finally these are just my two bits, my own personal exp. its not necessary it shd work for everyone - but you can give it a try !

hasn't made it into dollars yet. But, I agree with all your points. I have posted 83 Xomblurbs, and 8 Xombytes. And, I'm running 30c to 60c per day. My average on click-throughs have been on an average of 10%.

I had to laugh about your comments in the first paragraph because that's exactly me. I got frustrated and started adding Miley Cyrus stuff.

(And, just yesterday, I had a little girl ask me if I knew who Miley Cyrus was, and I told her, "yes I do!" And, we had a good conversation. So, even the weird stuff you do learn from...)

The blurbs and bytes, which have been the best for me have been my listing about the Tax Stimulus Refunds. I haven't done any in awhile, and they continue to kick.

But, the best advice I've received from Xomba members is the point to "write every day."

And, the second best point I've found out through the members is what the Yellow Box, to the right of our posting is all about. I've been very confused about it, so confused, I wrote a Xombyte about it.

But, now that I know, I voted for this Xombyte -- good job!
