How Much is Your Blog Worth? Here's a Tool to Find Out

I came across this Web site and thought I'd post it... supposedly it figures out how much your Web site is worth based on data from Technorati.

I don't know how accurate it is, but it's fun to use, anyway. Try it out with your friends and settle those arguments over whose Web site is more valuable!

There's code on the Web site that you can place on your blog or Web site so that visitors can use to calculate the value of their own homes on the Web.

Here are the results of a few searches I just did on some random well-known sites that popped into my head:

* Your blog, www.wonkette.com, is worth $2,661,241.56

* Your blog, www.dailykos.com/, is worth $5,689,434.12

* Your blog, engadget.com/, is worth $14,706,267.00

* Your blog, www.boingboing.net/, is worth $10,528,671.00

And though Xomba isn't a blog, I put it in anyway:

* Your blog, www.xomba.com, is worth $74,519.28

Mostly for fun

Gad., it's based on data from Technorati, which does rankings of blogs. I'm not sure how it calculates the value, but it supposedly shows the relative value of a blog vs. another one. Basically it's a fun tool to play with.

Hmm...really nice to know

Hmm...really nice to know about it, but what its significance is? I mean whats the catch in it?

Good News!

THIS is GOOD News!. . . . . . . . .i think. Now what about the adsense stuff. . .?

Xomba worth more than Google!

Hey, like I said, I make no claim for the accuracy of this thing. Maybe it doesn't work well with non-blog sites, or with sites that aren't tied extensively into Technorati's services. But here's something to make you feel better, I just ran this: Your blog, www.google.com, is worth $0.00 Xomba kicks Google's @ss!

Cute...

$74,519.28 That's funny. We're looking into utilizing Technorati more.
