Should the Republican ticket be elected next month, be inaugurated in January 2009, then Heaven Forbid something should happen to John McCain, the world as we know it will end.

As we know, John McCain is 72 now, which is as old as an out-of-touch Ronald Reagan was at the end of his second term. McCain is a cancer survivor of melanomas that may or may not be terminal. McCain also takes a number of medications that anyone his age would find common, including those that cause memory loss as a side effect and Ambien CR, which requires the taker be able to devote at least eight hours to sleep. (So much for the 3am phone call scenario. Would he even wake up in a coherent state?)

Putting aside all partisan politics and claims of executive experience that Palin allegedly has, I view her terrible, rehearsed answers to even softball Katie Couric and Sean Hannity questions as a better estimate of her preparedness to be president. In short, she ain't got it.

So, back to what happens if McCain needs to be replaced in the White House. How will a President Palin destroy the world?

At the moment when she is sworn in over SIX BILLION people in the world will fall instantly to their knees in prayer. Do you honestly believe that the planet can take that sort of stress without buckling the tectonic plates and spurring an earthquake and volcanic storm that will kill us all?
