How to Prevent Colon Cancer Naturally

The food we consume has to go through the colon to be absorbed to its fullest. If the food is heavy and contains complex unhealthy material like low density lipoproteins (LDL) also known as bad cholesterol, then it would be hard for the colon to digest it fully. The colon would have to work extra to emulsify the fat content. It would have to release extra enzymes. In releasing extra enzymes the colon could damage itself as well. These are the incidents if happen too often, can cause cancer in the area. There are many ways to prevent this drastic condition.
Eating a high fiber diet is very important in prevention of colon cancer. It basically cleans your colon of all the junk, stuck in it from the previous meals. High fiber diet includes fruits, nuts, beans, pulses, whole wheat, green leaf vegetables, root vegetables and general green vegetables for example broccoli.
Drinking lots of water is very important just to keep you hydrated in general. It helps the colon to wash off stuff more efficiently by diluting the food and also by increasing the surface area for more absorption of the important vitamins and minerals.
Discipline yourself between meals. Don't eat at least for four hours after having a heavy meal. It helps the colon to relax and concentrate its effort on the previous indulgence.
