How I reduced my Cholestrol Naturally(Say no to Lipitor) - Real Account

It started with one physical exam. Last year I went to the doctor to get a physical exam to get an checkup. My doctor sent took my blood and I was home. After 3 days, my doctor called me and said, he would like to meet me and discuss the results. I said "Doc, why can't we discuss this on the phone?
He said " I wish, but you need to come in to the office."

I went in to the office; He was sitting there with another person. I first ignored him. My doctor then introduced him as the best cardiac doctor in the Maryland area. I thought, he was just visiting him. I didn't pay much attention to him because, I thought they were buddies and he was visiting him. What it has to do with me. But to my amazement, he was invited by my doctor to advise me. He started with describing the whole heart function and how the heart works. I was getting nervous then. I was saying to my self-why is he telling me all this. Every time I have been to a doctor they tell you this stuff. I was losing my cool. I said with all due respect “ Could you please come to the point, I know how the heart works? I'm not sitting for any medical exam where I need the information. He said "Mr. you have high LDL and we are really concerned" and we need you to take Lipitor or any other drugs so that we can bring down your bad cholesterol. I said guys " Look I'm not a fan of drugs and I don't think I should give part of my salary to all these drug companies". They said "why is that so it's for your benefit"

I said docs " Give me one year and I will reduce it" They said 3 and reduce it by 20%. I was cold as ice. If at that time if somebody would have kept a hot beer on my body, it would have frozen.
I accepted the challenge. I said I will see you guys in 3. I drove back home. I was driving back home like my whole world had fallen apart and it was almost end of my world. I reached home, when I got inside, My wife asked me, “what happened to you,You look like as if you were run down by a truck”. I told her what had happened at the doctors office. Knowing me, she mentioned to me “ Lets fight it and lets fight the doctor”. I said to myself that why should I go back to the doctors in 3 months. Why the hell they were controlling my life. I told my friends about it and they were “ Are you mad, how can you go against the doctor ?” I was silent and didn’t say anything. I said there has to be a way out.The whole reason why I was so upset was that even though I was doing my cardio 3-4 times a week my LDL levels were up.
I then did some re-search on my own and looked at the numbers of my LDL they were not that bad, they were a little high. I couldn’t change my fitness routine . The only thing I could change is my eating habit, but then I said to myself “ I don’t eat junk, I don’t drink any soda, what can I do”.
Couple of days had passed away and I was cleaning my kitchen and found a dark bottle of olive oil. I had ordered it last year from internet and never used it. The oil in the bottle was cold pressed olive oil. I knew olive oil had lot of benefits externally when applied to skin. I said let’s start taking a spoon and see what happens. 2 weeks had gone by and I was still taking 2 spoons of olive oil everyday and I said we will see what happens in 10 weeks we will see.
It was mid of the deadline almost 6 weeks and it seems like a miracle happened. I used to go to this family run Italian place in Gaithersburg, MD every week. There was a old guy who was always nice to me and used to serve me my drinks. I asked him. “ How his Cholesterol was and heart health was?”
He said “ He has been taking one spoon of Olive oil every morning or before going to bed” and he never had any cholesterol issues. He also pointed out that the Mediterranean diet is very good for the heart.
I took his advice and started using olive oil for everything.

It was almost 12 weeks and I said well I don’t care for my doctors; I will take more 4 weeks. A week before end of the 4th week I called the doctor’s office and set up an appointment. They took my blood and I was gone and was impatiently waiting for my results. I received the call which I was waiting for. The doctor called me and said “I would like to meet you” I said what were my numbers were, he said he wants to discuss in person. I thought “Oh boy let’s see what happens now”. I went to his office 3 days after the call. His assistant took my BP which was normal. She said “Doctor will be there in a minute”. I waited for 15 minutes before he came. When he opened the results, he was shocked as it dropped by 30%. He said how did I do it. I said “ Doc I just did cardio 2 times a day and changed my diet a little” I didn’t tell him the secret and I walked back from that office with a smirk on my face and promised that I will never take medicine in my life. Here are some of the additional things which I did to help me and I hope it help other people also who want to reduce the cost of their health care cost

1) Olive oil one spoon every day
2) One Capsule of Guggul lipids.
3) Feta Cheese only no other cheese.
4) Kefir milk couple of times a week

That's very motivational story. I glad you share it here. However, i wish your doctor should not reach this page and know your secret. I think along with the all the things you mentioned for lowering cholesterol, Yoga is also to be looked for. Yoga can really do wonders in all diseases.

Thanks for the feedback. I totally agree with you. we don't need those anti-depressants and other drugs which do harm than do good. I think the whole health care industry is a bigger mafia than any other organization they don't want you to get better. The doctors want you to get hooked on a drug and for every prescription they make they get money from the company. I think being aware of what you are eating and what it is going to do is the first step towards a healthy life

Celanith The health care industry, insurance, Doctors and drug companies are all in cahoots together. All those pills from Anxiety to Zits and more ALL have some sort of "Side affects" Nice words for things that can literally kill you or damage heart, lungs, kidneys and liver or other things. They don't want Americans healthy or well it is unprofitable neither does the so called "diet food industry" That would be financial suicide to get Americans well. A lot of surgeries can be prevented with dietary changes and exercise, plenty of water and rest. I stopped seeing an MD five years ago and stopped taking my thyroid meds as they were costing me $30 per month and going up. They wanted me on some other stuff to one was for high colestral forget it. I go to a ND now naturopath as need and MUCH MUCH healthier than I had been and happier. All those pills are not about getting you well it is about keeping you on a yo yo string as your a cash cow for them drug companies and doctors and insurance companies. Oatmeal lowers things so does garlic and parsley. The more natural one eats the healthier you will be.

Thanks for the feedback. I totally agree with you about Omega 3 oils. There are Risks involved with that and are as follows 1) There is possibility of getting too much mercury if you eat too much fish. 2) All depends on the freshness of the fish and most important, the source. If the fish is being caught from a source which is polluted it will do more harm than do good. I would rather go with Flax seed oil than Fish oil but be careful don't use it in summer.
