How to throw a budget party

a)Decide the theme of your party. It could be a birthday party, a holiday party, or just a normal house party. No matter what the occasion, it's good to decide on a theme. However, if you don't want a theme, then you can skip this step entirely. If you do want a theme, make sure that you pick something original and interesting.

b)Decide the location. If the budget's too tight, your house would be your best bet. If you can stretch the dough a little, try having it at a club or rent out a restaurant.

c)Create your guest list. Since you are on a budget, it would be best not to invite more than 15 people. Don't invite anyone that is too high-maintenance.

d)Work out the menu, and go potluck. It would be a good idea to ask a couple of close friends if the could bring some small food items. If you play your cards right, you will wind up paying for half or less of the total amount of food.

e)Find some great music to play at the do. The music should compliment the theme of the party. Make sure that you have different types of music that will appeal to everybody. In case you need some more CDs ask your friend to bring some over.

f)Send out invitations by personally delivering it to guests. If you don't have the time, you can always send an SMS followed by a phone call.

g)Try making homemade decorations. Streamers are fairly easy to make, and balloons don't cost that much.
