How to: Activate your Google Adsense Account for payment

So after a lot of hard work, you finally accumulated a nice Google Adsense Earning. But wait: when you log into their website it says somewhere that you forst will have to activate your payment method trough entering a Personal Identification Number (PIN), and you don’t have one.

Don’t worry now, It will be sent to you by Google trhough the mail. This procedure starts around the moment that your account has more than 50 US$ in it. The sending of the PIN code takes about two weeks, and when you receive it, you can enter the code right away in your Google Adsense Account.

The letter states 4 steps:
STEP 1: Log into your AdSense account with the username and password that you created during the application process.
STEP 2: Select the My Account tab and click Payment History.
STEP 3: Click the ‘Please enter your PIN’ link.
STEP 4: Enter your PIN as it appears below.
YOUR PIN: XXXXX

And the procedure is really that simple. If you do not receive the letter within a certain time, or if you loose it before entering the PIN code, you can request a new one from the AdSense page after a couple of weeks.

By the way, this is probably the only occasion on which you will receive something on paper through the ‘snail-mail’ from Google, so be sure to safe it and put it above your bed :-)
