How to drive more traffic to your blog

Do you want to learn about a free way to bring more traffic to your blog. It is www.squidoo.com

Let me tell you briefly about what is squidoo.com and how it can bring help in bringing more traffic to your site.

Squidoo lets users make lens on its site. A lens is one person's view on a topic that matters to her.

It's an easy-to-build, single web page that can point to blogs, favorite links, RSS feeds, Google maps, eBay auctions, Amazon books, and more. Building lens is completely free.

You can build as many lens on different topics of your interest and add links to your favorite books selling on amazon for that topic, or you can point to your favorite websites and blogs on that topic. Build one lens or 100, it is all free!

So how is making lens going to increase your site traffic?

You can increase your site traffic through lens by adding links to your own blog. If you have any interesting article on your blog or website about a particular topic, you can link to it from your lens. This way you can drive more traffic to your blog.

There are a lot of ways you can use this service to drive traffic and increase your sales.

Not an easy way.

This would not be easy.

Just what the heck is a Xomblurb anyway??!!

I'm with you Idle about the word count. I think that would be the easiest way to solve the whole question!! But then what do I know about all this? I just come here and stir up 'poop' once in awhile!! I wouldn't want to be a moderator and have to count the words whenever one looked kind of short, but I would think after a while you could tell at a glance if was 25 words or not. I know back when I was fitting pipe for a living, I could tell 6" when I saw it..at a glance...and even from quite a ways away!! It might not sound the same, but it is :) I have HIGH hopes for this Xomblurb thing cause this is something that has always really bothered me!! Even if I don't have time to submit something, I like to come on here and tell everybody else what they're doing wrong..you know, 'critique'? The least I can do is to share my vast store of writing knowledge, right? :) But I get tired of opening things and finding a run-on sentence or two about something, with a link that takes you somewhere else, and nothing more! Good quality content was getting hard to come by on here for awhile, and I was really getting discouraged. But that seems to be changing lately, and I'm happy to see it!! There are alot of good writers here...and I really think this Xomblurb thing is going to make a difference. It will give everyone a choice for what kind of content they are looking for when they come here. And I guess you can tell I won't be looking at Xomblurbs much! HA! I just wish I had a better understanding of the difference between a Xomblurb and a Xombyte. I'm still opening up little bitty ones with no link in them. They might have 25 words, but that still just doesn't seem right to me. I agree with you that they should raise the limit on a Xombyte to at least 50-100 words...and then have no minmum on Poetry or Xomblurbs. That way there wouldn't be any conflict about it. If it isn't 50 (or 100) words, it's a xomblurb even if it doesn't have a link...period, final, no question, the end, and shut-up about it! HA! But that's just my opinion...?? Lady:P

Word count

What if it was raised for all other categories? In other words, xombytes created under the Poetry category could be allowed to have as few as 25 words. Is there a programming way to do that? Of course moderators would need to check these to make sure that Poetry xombytes really are poetry, not just a short prose blurb.

Can't raise word count

The word count is left low for Poetry.

Hey thanks for the tip about

Hey thanks for the tip about using Squidoo--I never really took the time to look into the site. For some reason I thought it looked like it would take a lot of time to set up a "lens." It is probably worth it though.

Re: Bloggers unite

Yeah, Lady, it's a bit murky right now. Posts like this one could be either a xombyte or a xomblurb. But if the word count for xombytes is raised, then that will solve the problem.

Bloggers unite,

but shouldn't this be done in the Xomblurb section? I guess I don't understand this Xomblurb thing yet? Anyway, thanks for the tips. Lady:P
