How to Eat Pot
posted March 15, 2008 - 2:43amHow skydiving is good for you.
When coming in to land make sure you know what it is you are doing. Otherwise you may find yourself in a world of hurt.
Never trust your instructors advise because you might get laughed at for asking too many questions, thus making you look stupid.
Ignorance is Bliss!
Right?
Broken bones, broken nose, broken stretchy ligaments and tendons are a dime a dozen.
Learn how to flare.
Flaring is very necessary to ensure a safe landing. Maybe you don't know how to land? If you don't then make sure you have a safe, reliable, trustworthy and reliable skydiving instructor. Otherwise you may be in pain and on your way to the hospital.
When in freefall make sure that you get a thumbs up from your instructor and a well done on the radio when you are under canopy. However don't always trust it. Just because you got a thumbs up in freefall at 120 MPH doesn't really mean you passed. It could be a mind game. Do not trust the fact that just because your trustworthy and rated instructor says well done on the radio when you are under canopy. Well it doesn't necessarily mean you passed your AFF Jump either. They are most likely out to make you look stupid and try to screw your landing up to break your leg. Just to have a little bit of fun!
And to make you look like a stupid student.
When you walk back to the hangar (after being left behind by your very trustworthy instructor) with a broken leg don't forget to mention that you thought it wasn't broken other wise you will be called stupid.
Not as stupid as your sinister instructor that is.
