How to Get Kids (and Adults) to Eat Spinach: Spinach Cheese Casserole

Spinach Bake with cheese

Preheat oven 350 degrees
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Baking time: 40 minutes

Grease casserole dish with crisco shortening.

1 can thoroughly drained spinach
1/2 to 3/4 cup chopped onions
2 eggs
1 cup milk
1 to 1 1/2 cup grated cheese

Cook chopped onions in skillet for five good minutes.
Add spinach, mix well and cook until thoroughly warm.
Remove from heat.
Add well beaten eggs to milk, then add this mixture to spinach-onion.
Stir in cheese.
Pour into dish and bake 40 minutes.

Notes: You can just saute the onions and then mix all items together; add five minutes to baking time if you use this time saving method. Cook until top of casserole is firm, but don't burn the cheese! A 9x9 in. dish should work for this recipe. This is great to feed a large crowd, if you multiply the ingredients.

spinach is a must in ravioli filling..

I eat almost every veggie except for spinach. I do however have to have spinach in my ravioli meat filling... Had a discussion about spinach with my wife last week..she loves it. I noted that in my experiences, most women seem to love it while most men don't care for it. Has anyone else noticed this, or is it just me? Still +1 even though I don't like the stuff.

I *Heart* Spinach!

I don't think I've ever had a problem eating spinach. My wife and son, on the other hand... I will check out this recipe and maybe add it to our dinner rotation for the coming week. Thanks for the recipe! DO YOU HAVE THE WRITE STUFF?

This might help.

Been trying to add more "greens" to the nutritional intake and dont really like some of them. This recipe looks like something I might like. Thanks for posting it. +1
