A great way to make money in your spare time is to sell used college textbooks on Amazon. I've done this for a number of years, since I've come to college and have had some respectable profits doing it. It does take a little work and you need somewhat decent people skills bu the payoff is well worth it.

Step 1
In order to start selling textbooks you will need a considerable amount of investment capital. I usually set my limit at $500.

Step 2
Scavenge your local yard sales for textbooks and other books to possibly sell. It's always good to buy in bulk at yard sales. The seller usually want to get rid of everything and if you offer to buy multiple items you may get a great deal.

Step 3
Browse Craigslist for textbooks for sale in your area. Make sure to research the lowest price of the textbooks you find, comparing the sellers asking price to Amazons lowest selling price. Calculate the highest price your willing to pay incorporating shipping costs and barter with the seller.

Step 4
Create an Amazon Seller Account and list the textbooks you've bought for sale. Always try to offer the lowest price. This ensures that each book will get sold ASAP.

Step 5
Once a textbook sells ship it as soon as possible using media mail.
