From a series of media-things I've seen (culminating with one of my recent `blurbs), I was inspired to look-up the word for "fascination with vampires."

The word I found had to definitions: the most basic (below) and one drawn from a "synonym" of it - necrophilia ...

I think they take it too far when they call a "philia" "a physical passion for." I think a 'philia' is more like a 'facination with.'

And vampires are far more interesting than thanat, whatever that is (see below). But you have to master thanat before you can be a vampire!

How do you master thanat? I don't know; maybe I just made that word up! See below to make sure I didn't.
