How to win votes; By bashing your opponent
posted November 2, 2006 - 2:20amI am glad the voting season for the next couple of years is near and end. I for one am thoroughly sick of all the dirty back stabbing politics and politicians.
I could give a frip what John Doowappy did or didn't do. I want to know what the opponent Jane Lollygag who has been digging up dirt on JD has to offer that is any better.
Instead all we voters, citizens, we the people, taxpayers hear anymore is politicians name calling, accusing their opponent of one scam or another and not caring for the people they represent.
Has this always been the norm in politics or has it gotten worse? It seems to me it has gotten really bad. We don't have a clue what the politician plan to do for "we the people". A
ll we ever get is opposing parties slandering and defaming one another on in commercials and ads. Now they even calling our private homes begging votes, slandering the other party and in general harrassing us and filling up our message machines so calls important to us don't get through.
It makes me not want to vote for any of them. They are all liars and crooks. It seems they want to get in office for their own purposes and agenda not for the people they allegedly represent.
It seems many of our politians don't even know what happened in our history books. Example why did congress put to vote the question if we should make English our official language?
Didn't any of them know that back in the early part of our nation in 1795 Congress already voted on this very subject choosing between, English and German?
We the people no longer have an honest vote or honest say as to what happens in our nation or the states we live in. Politians are bought through lobbying for one special interest group or another. They don't care what we the people, think or want.
Yes I voted but really will the best man or woman win or will it be like Washington State's joke of the century Govenor race where a politian wants to win so badly they will cheat, lie, steal, cover up and do just about anything to win.
What a sad state of affairs. We the people should do something but we won't we are too busy popping happy pills, watching sports on t,v and scrafing down junk food we have become complacent.
Does our vote really even count anymore?? I wonder and even if the best man or woman does win. Seems we are having to choose between two evils, which one will do the least harm. Well at least it will be over for few months until the next election. Then maybe we can get back to somewhat semi normal again until next time.
