How To Use The Kill a Watt Power Use Monitor To Cut Your Energy Bill

The Kill a Watt power monitor is one of my favorite inventions. It allows you to know in real time exactly how much power any 120 volt home appliance is using. It tells you how many watts it is drawing and this can help you determine if you need to put the appliance on a power strip that you can shut off. You see, many appliances draw power even when the power button is "off". These phantom loads can add up quickly and drain your wallet each month when you get your electricity bill. This is how to get rid of phantom loads.
