Xomba allows you, the members, access to a lot of social networking features.  These features will not only help you to market your writing, but will allow you to connect with other members in your efforts to share your ideas and create a community.

How To Edit Your Profile

1. Click "My profile" in the top right navigational menu.

2. Click the edit tab located above your profile.

Here you will be able to change your password, profile picture, signature and status.  It will also allow you to opt in or out of Xomba newsletters. 

*Don't forget to save your changes!

The Personal Information tab will allow you to change all the information on your profile page.

How to use the "My Guestbook" Feature

Every Xomba account has a guest book which allows users to post comments to your profile. These comments are displayed at the bottom of your profile in the "Wall" section.  You can also view your Guestbook by clicking the "My Guestbook" tab while viewing your profile. You can delete any users' post to your wall.

How To Send a Message

1. Select "Inbox" from the top right corner of Xomba.com.

2. Select the "Write a New Message" tab from the left.

3. Similar to an email, you will be able to enter info into the "to" and "subject" feilds, write and edit your message and send it all from your inbox.

* All you have to do is type a username into the "to" field and you'll be able to communicate with anyone on Xomba!

How To Add Friends

Clicking on the friends button in the right top navigational menu will display all your friends and their recent posts. They can be sorted by most recent, most popular, most votes, and most discussed.  When viewing a profile of a writer, click the "add as a friend" link under their profile picture in the green box.  Once approved, your new friend will be listed in your friends section for easy access.

How To Add Favorites

Favorites allow you to select your favorite posts while you're exploring Xomba and reading articles from other writers.  You can view your favorite items by clicking the "Favorites" link at the top right.

If you find a Xomblurb or Xombyte that you want to make a favorite, simply select the "Favorite This" link the the green box below the user's picture.

How To Use The Xomba Chat

Now you can chat in real time with your friends on Xomba!  Simply use the chat box in the bottom right block.  Your friend must be logged in to communicate.  If they are, click on their name and send them a message.  Make sure to hit "enter" after each message.

How To Vote

Voting is important at Xomba as it plays a big part in contests and helping good writers get noticed.  When you read an article, make sure to click on the plus sign on the right vote box if you want to vote for a Xomblurb or Xombyte.  Yes, you can vote for your own post...and you should!  However, you can only vote once for any post.
