How to Value Your Article - Essential Reading

Once you have wrote a article with the intention of generating revenue from the views you may want to value the article. Whilst there is no exact science in valuing a article there are ways to see how much income it may generate. Most of the income is generated from ads placed by google. Here are 5 steps to valuing your article.

STEP 1 - GOOGLE ADS

Once you have posted your article the google ads will be placed according to the adwords that are on your article, the greater the value of these adwords the greater the value of your article. If the adword on your article is Insurance then you can go to the google adwords tool to see how much one click is worth and how much competition there is for this adowrd. The word insurance costs about $30.00 so for every click on the ad you will be generating this amount of which a percentage will be given to you.

STEP 2 - AFFILIATES

Affiliates also increase the value of the article, if you have one product affiliated to your article then and the product costs $20.00 then potentially this article will get a percentage of the proceeds, the more affiliates that are on your article the more valuable the article becomes. Be careful not to make this a advertising campaign as people will seldom click on the affiliate link. Instead make your article well constructed and try to attach 5 affiliate links to it. For example if I wrote a review on acne ebooks and then explained the benefits of each book then attached the affiliate links of each of them then my articles value will increase.

STEP 3 - COMMENTS

The more comments your article has the greater its interest becomes and the more value is attributed to it. Usually articles with high number of comments are forwarded and read on a regular basis as well as placed on the favourites folder, by having all this free promotion more people will view your article and eventually the article becomes self sufficient in terms of promotion and the article keeps on appreciating in value.

STEP 4 - STARS

The more stars a article has the greater the value becomes, the stars indicate quality and like with any product and service the higher the quality the higher the value or price which is this case is the value of the article. By paying attention to detail and creating a bespoke article of great quality it is inevitable to get the stars upon which people will want to enquire about it which will generate a greater volume of views.

STEP 5 - PROMOTION

The more promotion the article gets the more it appreciates in value, this is becuase more people will view it, they will then click on the ads and maybe even purchase the affiliated products, they may see the quality of the article and forward it on - this process is called the chain reaction and again this will make the article self sufficient in terms of promotion and generating passive or residual income.

SUMMARY

The key to maximising the value of your article is by assessing the potential value of the article, to get the best results you need to start with a great article where the google adowrds are expensive and command high volumes and competition, you need to affiliate as much as possible without causing intrusion to the reader and you must always seek comments and ratings, then you must have a strategy to promote the article, if this process is adhered to then the articles value will keep on appreciating.
