How Will You Greet Death?
posted November 9, 2006 - 1:48pmSomewhere in the world someone is dying. It’s a fact; a grim reality, but it’s inevitable. We can’t escape it and yet we try harder and harder to do so. For an atheist it’s understandable; after life on earth there is nothing so one must make the most of their current life, but for God-fearing, religious individuals shouldn’t this enigmatic reaper be embraced? People die in three ways; unknowingly, acceptingly, or screaming. The unknowing don’t see death as it sneaks up behind them—taking them before they realize it. Those that accept it are ready and they see the black figure as simple guide to their next destination, and those that scream…they fear the shadow of death like nothing in their entire lives, they truly fear their own demise.
The last two really show how one has lived their life. They can look back and be filled with satisfaction, or they may see regret all throughout their past. How have you lived? How will you die? Will you be happy with a life you can no longer live, or will you try to change up to the very end? Will you jump from the ledge and scream to your doom, or will you close your eyes, say hello to he reaper, and Take Flight?
