The husband of popular New York anchorwoman Darlene Rodriguez was charged today with the rape of a 17 year old girl.

David Rodriguez, a sergeant with the New Rochelle police department, was at the girl's apartment on Feb. 9th along with three other officers, where they arrested her live-in boyfriend, who is 35.

Rodriguez, who has been on the police force for nine years, is accused of returning to the girl's home the day after the arrest, off duty, and raping her. He pleaded not guilty and was released on $25,000 bail.

Darlene Rodriguez, who is an anchorwoman of NBC's morning show "Today in New York," said that she is confident that her husband is "innocent 100 percent."
