It took me some time but today i have finally admitted that i am what i like to call a Picutre Whore. We''ve all seen them around everywhere, with their flashing lights and silly giggles. I don't know if i should steryotype but picture whores are usually between thirteen years old and i'd say twenty six years old. They carry their digital cameras around taking pictures of the scenery, friends, random objects, and especially them. You can often hear the phrases "Myspace Picture" or "This is for Facebook," when around a picture whore. Over the last years when owning some sort of digital camera is so accessible. Will you too become a picture whore? Or has this deasease already stricken you?

     For me as far as i can remember it all began when i entered high school, camera phones were beginning to catch on and it wasn't long till i got my hands on one of those creatures. I was definitely not interested in taking pictures of me but everyone else was doing it. So i guess i might of taken one or two pictures of myself at my house when i was bored. Then the whole myspace thing became popular and having great pictures became a great concern.

   Months went by and everything was an excuse for me to take a picture. At the end of the day i would go through my phone and realized i'd take about twenty or so pictures a day. Now that i look back at those pictures i really don't know why i took so many. They were horrible, bad lighting, awful poses, just overall dreadful pictures. Then the big day arrived and i had finally recieved my first digital camera, oh the joy i felt could easily be compared to those memories you have of childhood christmas times. The poor thing broke in a week, and what a week. I had taken 125 pictures. I was on my way to becoming an addict.

   My life changed drastically around this time, i began to date, alot. I was becoming a confident teenager. So i saved up some money and bought myself another camera. I would only use this for special events, but my phone was being raped the whole day by my narcissistic self. Slowly but surely i began to use those 8 megapixels to take portraits of myself. Now i don't consider myself an ugly fella so maybe that helped but when i started posting those pictures on myspace it only increased my addiction. I still recieve lots of friend requests. The picture comments are so nice but they all basically say "take more pictures, we want more!"

  So i admit i'm a picture whore and so what? I am a proud member of a growing group lol. The problem here is not that i take so many pictures, i'm okay with that. The thing is what do i do with so many of them? I've always had this fear my computer will just crash and all those memories will be forever gone. I don't necesseraly trust the internet world and i'm afraid i'll just lose a flash drive (i mean i have lost lots of sd cards). I try to print as many pictures as i can, but the prices are starting to add up. So i don't know what to do anymore, i would really appreciate some help.

  Rememember being a picture whore is not the worst of addictions, but like all other addictions, it starts to get pricy. HELP!!!
