This movie, starring Will Smith, has been given extensive buzz and praise. I was intrigued by this when I made the decision to go see it. To be honest, I was vaguely skeptical about this movie, Will Smith flicks have a tendency to start out as a great flick, but as time goes on, turns into a corny look at the writers attempt to exploit Smith`s fame and sense of humor. This film, (with its usual semi-corny lines) was a very engrossing film. Being the last person in NYC, Smith`s charatcer takes advantage of this, driving fancy cars, getting supplies, movies, etc. However, in the darkness their leaves something more terrible. Thier are creatures of man`s own creation leering in the darkness, which is not as great as the fear that Smith will be alone forever. This is a very well made movie, full of surprises and twists (unlike the potentially boring Castaway) and is worth the time and money to see it.
