I Found An Injured Bird Today :( I Hope It Will Be Okay.

I was walking to the store today, with a friend, when we happened upon a small bird (I think it's a sparrow) just kind of sitting on the sidewalk. I thought it was a little unusual, for whatever reason. The bird didn't seem to be active enough, to me, and I couldn't remember ever seeing a bird in the middle of the sidewalk that didn't fly away when it heard humans approaching.

When I commented about it, my friend also found it interesting, and decided to approach it. It hopped away, but obviously couldn't fly. At that moment, two girls who were right behind us, noticed the scene and helped us capture the bird, so that we could take care of him/her until it could be taken to the wildlife care center, not far away from where we live.

It is certainly a lucky little bird! There are a lot of cats in this neighborhood, half of which eat at my house, amongst other predatory wildlife.

Tommorrow, little unnamed birdie will go to the Dr. (so to speak), where s/he will be cared for and released when better. :)
