I Just Won $50 In an Essay Contest

Yo to all my Xomba friends:

Just wanted to share that I was just notified that I was voted a runner-up in an essay contest -- and I won a whole $50! So that's kind of cool.

Even though I have been a freelance writer for 20 years, believe it or not, I have never entered a writing contest before. Getting "runner-up" on my first try is nice, I guess.

$50 is better than, let's say, $3.72, right? So enjoy the validation of your efforts and go out and buy some more pencils and a pizza (the rest will go for the gas you use going to get the pencils and pizza) and get back to writing some more!

I am glad I gave you an idea. I honestly feel honored. Good job ken K. Your marriage gives me faith in the human race. All the love is coming from you, not the conservative. Well she is your wife, but YOU love the conservative. That is awesome. I read your article. There is Christianity in zen. Who uses who in vain, or do they?

.... as much as possible because that's how our marriage has lasted 11 years! Actually, eggsoveresy, you just gave me a terrific idea for an article. "How Liberal-Conservative Couples Can Live Togther in Peace and Harmony" or something like that. Or, "What to do when you're a Conservative in love with a Liberal." Hint to main theme: Learn the art of "shutting up" at strategic moments in your relationship! Anyway, thanks for your kind comments, eggs -- I may be a Liberal, but I sure love Conservatives. (They make excellent wives, anyway).
