I Went With Mary Kay

I Went With Mary Kay

I’m a 27-year-old female who just managed, after years of thinking it could never happen, bought my first home. Of course, I could never have done it without the help of my parents to whom I am forever grateful. So, with their help, I found and purchased a house that I could afford with just my income alone. I am not married and its just me and my Pug dog, Stanley. It’s been really hard, but I’ve been able to manage to get by so far.

Opportunities to make some extra money are always something I keep on the lookout for, especially with the new house. With the mortgage, gas prices, and grocery bills rising, I’m ecstatic to have $5 extra bucks in my pocket. There are a lot of things that a person can do to make some extra money, and lots of my friends sell Pampered Chef or Tupperware and things of that nature. My friend Shayla decided to give Mary Kay a go. I’m really not into all these catalog/home parties, but Shayla wanted someone to practice on when she first got started so I told her to come on over.

Shayla came by and proceeded to go through the Mary Kay company intro and then we let me try out the products that she had with her. I loved the moisturizer that I put on my face so much that I immediately purchased an entire skin care set. (Keep in mind that this was just supposed to be her practice run and she wasn’t expecting an order. Neither was I for that matter.) Then she asked me if I would considered letting her do a practice conference call with her and her sales director on becoming a Mary Kay consultant.

About a week after Shayla was over we had the conference call. I had no intentions whatsoever on getting involved with Mary Kay, but the more I listened to how it works, the more interested I became. Despite the fact that this was supposed to be a practice call, I ended up signing up to be a Mary Kay consultant before the phone call was even over. It’s been one of the best decisions that I’ve made in a long time! I’m loving being an MK girl.

Mary Kay is not pushy at all. I don’t like pushy salesladies and I sure as heck didn’t want to be one myself. There are no quotas to meet with MK and you can sell as often as you like. You actually become a small business owner when you sign up. Noone in the company says a word to you if you only want to put in an order once a month or even every other month for that matter. Plus, with MK, you get to keep a 50% profit of each sale you make, not to mention you get tons of free and reduced price products.

I never thought I knew enough people that would buy MK from me, so I wasn’t expecting much. I put in about one order per month and make enough off of the order to stock up on all my favorite products and pay the electric bill. Of course, there are lots of MK consultants, like my friend Shayla, who really get into selling MK. I know people who are so into their MK business that they do it full time! There is so much potential with MK to make money, cars, win prizes, and most importantly, feel good about yourself. You become a member of a team!

I don’t want you to think that this whole thing has been a Mary Kay sales pitch. I’m just so excited about being a consultant and it’s been so beneficial to my life that I wanted to share. It’s one of the most hassle-free and easiest things that I’ve ever done. So, if you are looking for friendship, makeup, and some extra cash, you ought to consider Mary Kay as a recommended company to go with.
