In what, may be, the harshest sentence ever given an ID Thief, in the entire U.S., Stephen Rowell, of Portland, was sentenced to 13 years in prison.

He has made a life out of being an outlaw, bragged about his crimes, even to the point of writing songs about the hell he has brought to his victims.

Even when police were onto him he continued his crime-sprees out of pride and notoriety.

He, while in jail, even converted his friends to lives-of-crime through asking them to beat up or otherwise intimidate witnesses.

Arrested in the fall 2007, during two separate traffic stops, on accusations of possessing methamphetamine and identity theft, police while searching his car, found check-making software and blank checks.

During searches of his home, police found the folder of songs, a database of all driver's licenses in Oregon, fabricated checks up to $4,000, about 50 credit cards, and financial paperwork of more than 100 people.

He even had information about a company who makes equipment to manipulate caller-id info displayed to make the victim see a bank was calling instead of Rowell...
