A small business in Boise, named the Idaho Fry Company has recently encountered a legal challenge from the Idaho Potato Commission. Apparently no one is allowed to use Idaho and any potato product name in the same phrase, or they will be legally challenged by an Idaho institution that takes its trademarks way too seriously! This upstart business just opened up in Boise and delivers absolutely awesome fries (with burgers on the side). I think it is shameful that the State is going after any business in this hard business environment especially an upstart. Shame on the Idaho Potato Commission!
