Idiocracy finally made it to dvd and is rentable. And in all likelyhood is also - downloadable. This may seem improbable due to all the buzz about its production company FOX, attempting to 'squash' it.

This is Mike Judges 1st (to my knowledge) attempt at Sci Fi, and though its not as brilliant as his other gem - "Office Space" its definitely a fun and entertaining movie which is likely, hopefully, to offend a ton of people. This fact alone makes it fun, but there are plenty controversial movies that drag so bad you cant stay awake. Idiocracy is not like that. Its quick. Its fun. Its light. The physical aspect of production is great, and although the story could be more flushed out - its nothing some suspense of disbelief couldnt take care of.

The film is about an average joe who finds himself 500 years in the future and is one of the Smartest people on earth, due to genetic selection of - you guessed - idiots.

I could speculate forever on the rumors about Foxe's failure to promote this film, instead id rather more people watch it and decide for themselves.

Like it or not, either way, this movie is set to become a cult classic. I highly recommend it.
