I've often wondered what cats would say if they could speak. Presumably they know a lot more about you than you may want getting out. That is to say, they know things that you may not want others to know.

I think though that if they could speak they may not say much at all. Cats are sort of loners and inherently antisocial. They really only seem to come around when they are hungry.

Perhaps they would be very wise. Philosophical felines. Considering how much sitting and pondering they must find time for deep reflection, and this may lead to some very insightful points of view.

Dogs on the other hand I think would not be very bright if they could speak. Rather a sort of simple minded monologue. Albeit a happy go lucky feel as well.

Unfortunately, sometimes, significant others tend to speak to much. But that's just what we get with humans. Perhaps I would rather converse with my cat.
