If It Was Good Enough For Elvis....

Years ago, I read that Elvis Presley often chewed on parsley to keep his breath smelling clean.  Maybe that's why restaurants often serve meals with a sprig of parsley.

I have noticed, most of the time, that people, including me,  tend  to leave the parsley untouched on their plates.  I wonder what they do with all the parsley that goes back to the kitchen each day?  If no one ever eats it, why do they keep on serving it?

That goes for carrots and broccoli, too.  It's my guess that people who want carrots and broccoli will order them, so why waste 98 percent of the carrots and broccoli served on people who don't want it and won't eat it anyway?  Is there some kind of government rule that you have to serve something "healthy" on every plate?  If so, common sense tells me that that revoking the law is long overdue.
