If You're Depressed, Stop to Think What You Might Be Drinking...

If you're depressed, you might want to stop and think about what you're drinking. If you consume a lot of diet soda, that just might be the culprit. Diet soda contains phenylalanine. Phenylalanine has been found to reduce levels of seratonin in the brain. Serotonin is a hormone that helps maintain a balance in our brain. It helps us feel good, emotionally and psychologically. If you don't think that you've ever heard of that hormone before, just wait long enough to hear a commercial advertising antidepresants. Pharmaceutical companies usually claim that their antidepresants help increase the levels of seratonin in the brain. Well, you just might not have to go on any of those antidepresants. All you might have to do is quit drinking the diet soda.
It makes you fatter anyway, so why would anyone drink it? Not only will your seratonin levels go up, but if you were trying to lose weight some of that depression will acutally be lifted when you become elated that you lost so much weight!
