Illegal Aliens: A Simple Solution

Illegal Aliens: A Simple Solution

Does everyone understand what the phrase “illegal immigration” means? It’s important to define what an illegal immigrant is for the sake of this article. Any person, who crosses our borders without doing so at an official checkpoint so that they may purposefully avoid presentation of legal U.S. documents of citizenship, is breaking the law. An immigrant, who remains in this country longer than their government documents allow, is also breaking the law. It’s very simple and has nothing to do with morals or ethics; it’s a matter of law.

There are numerous arguments about what should be done with the illegal aliens that reside in our country. Some people believe that these people are beneficial to our nation’s economic and societal growth. Others will point to the fact that illegal immigrants contribute to the bankruptcy of hospitals and deteriorating conditions of public schools or other government-funded social programs. In both instances, there is one common problem: these people do not rightfully belong here.

Let’s start at the source of our issue. To prevent illegal border crossings, it would make sense to have control over our borders. Having a wall or fence sounds completely reasonable to most Americans. As a sovereign nation, we have a right to defend our borders and protect our citizens from invasion. It has nothing to do with whether or not illegal immigrants are good, hard-working people. It is a question of national security and the rule of law. If you violate federal law by entering our country illegally, you should not have access to the rights and protections guaranteed to legal citizens.

To further prevent foreigners from breaking our immigration laws, we must stop the habits that attract them. Employers must be criminally prosecuted and fined for hiring illegal aliens. Their continued contribution to identity theft needs to cease immediately. Social benefits extended to these illegal aliens should also be stopped. There is no reason why people who do not pay taxes should be allowed to receive tax-funded services. If employers are deterred from hiring illegal workers, and the workers are not able to find jobs or collect government welfare of any sort, then eventually, the problem will correct itself.

After the previous problems are addressed, what do we do with the illegal aliens already here? The answer is simple: deport them. Every person who is in this country illegally should be deported as soon as possible. If they have had children since they’ve been here, the children should go with the parents. No amnesty should be given, and all assets acquired while working illegally should be forfeited. When drug dealers are convicted, their assets are seized by the government because they were obtained while violating the law. The same equality should be applied when breaking immigration laws. Illegal aliens know they are breaking the law and there should be no double standards.

Don’t be fooled by the people who claim it is “inhumane” to enforce our laws. Promoting a permanent underclass is more detrimental to society than sending lawbreakers back to their country of origin. Convincing people that it’s better for entire families to die while trying to cross our borders, instead of trying to solve the problems within their own government, is completely absurd. Americans did not make the United States what it is today by leaving our country for someone else to fix.

Let’s use Mexico as an example of this foolishness.

It is estimated that we currently have between ten and twenty million illegal immigrants from Mexico living here. One would have to think there are probably millions more willing to break our laws and risk their lives making the journey into this country. The population of Mexico is just over 100 million. If these people are so concerned about their way of life, why don’t they stay in their own country and force changes? Why is it acceptable for them to break our laws and become a burden on our society? They would rather give up and let their country deteriorate than stand up to its leaders and fight for justice. These are not the kind of people I want for neighbors.

Mexico has the highest gross national income of all Latin American countries. They are the world’s largest producer of silver and a top five producer of oil. They are a member of the World Trade Organization and have a dozen trade agreements with nations around the globe. They also happen to have a flourishing tourism industry. Mexico is not a poor, third-world country. It is poorly governed. Our leadership in government needs to stop being complicit in its demise by allowing the Mexican working-class to illegally enter our country. Mexicans need not look for a way to escape their government; they need to look for a way to take control of it.

There is no reason lawful United Sates citizens should feel guilty for wanting to enforce our laws. There’s no reason illegal aliens from any country should be allowed to continue breaking our laws. We can find a simple solution to a complicated problem. Control the borders, prosecute criminal employers, deport illegal aliens, and educate the uneducated. There is no logic behind encouraging unlawful activity, especially when it is not beneficial to either party. If our immigration laws are constantly allowed to be violated, we will all lose. Sooner or later, we will be the ones looking for a better country to call home.

YOU KNOW IT'S TRUE WHAT THEY

YOU KNOW IT'S TRUE WHAT THEY SAY, YOU SHOULDN'T ARGUE WITH AN IDIOT. P.S. FOR YOUR FYI. YOU CAN'T JUST COME TO THIS COUNTRY APPLY FOR ASSYLUM AND BECOME A CITIZEN OVERNIGHT, IT HAS TAKEN ME 17 YEARS TO BECOME A U.S RESIDENT.

Look, cmofi, I understand

Look, cmofi, I understand why people want to come here. I understand why people would want to leave their own country that is corrupt or poorly run. The problem is, we have laws that need to be followed, and illegal aliens do not follow them. My article is not "wrong." It was not all about Mexicans. I used Mexico as an example of a mismanaged country and it's people were the example of a population with a flawed mentality of how to fix it. I never said all illegal aliens were Mexican. People CAN fix their country and it has been done before. Many corrupt governments have been overthrown throughout history, but none of them have been toppled by its citizens running away. This article is not about immigration, it's about ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION. I don't care WHY these people want to come here, I already know. Why they are breaking the law has nothing to do with this argument. If a situation in a certain country becomes deadly to average citizens, they can claim asylum and come to our country anyway, so it's not a matter of safety. If they simply want to live better, they need to follow the proper procedures. We have laws and they need to be obeyed. There's no debating it. And I don't need some stupid film (which I have seen) to educate me about illegal aliens. Also, I CAN judge anyone if I want because we do indeed have freedom of speech. However, I am not judging anybody here, I am only stating that we have a major problem and it needs to be corrected. If you don't recognize that, then I'm sorry. Illegal immigration is not only a problem for "white" people, it affects ALL of us.

I completely understand what

I completely understand what your article says. I don't disagree the fact that some people come and destroy this country, and yes many of that people are immigrants. What I'm saying is you can't judge a whole group by a mistake made by 1. Yes, some are criminals, Yes, many take welfare but many come and they work to have a better life. Yes, the jobs that I listed are low paying jobs, but the people who employed them they also exploit them. But, to an inmigrant a job is a job and if it requires you to sweat they don't care, because they want to work. Recently I went to my country El Salvador and I saw the economy. The best paying job is $80 a week and everything is prized just like here, we use U.S Dollars. So picture this, if you are unhappy in a place and you know that somewhere else you will be happy wouldn't you move? If my people know, that in our country we make $80 week and they can do the same job here but get pay $250.00 it's a better deal. True, I also agree that they should try to fix the government in their country. But, did the goverment asked the Salvadorean people: Do you want to get rid of Colones and use U.S dollars instead? No, they never did. Do you think Cubans can overthrow Fidel Castro? NO. Can Venezuelans overthrow Hugo Chavez? No.The government is full of corruption. So you can't judge any one, specially in a country that is free of speech, religion without knowing what people are running from. My family run away from war a huge war that was killing innocent children and people food became scarce, no water only deseases. At last, I'm not trying to make propaganda with the movie I mention before. That movie is more of an educational film, that teach people like you, because sweetie MEXICO is not the biggest country with immigrants. Is just that white people classifieds every hispanic person as Mexican. So your article is wrong. P.S. I'm not angry at you, I will be if you were hispanic and now a citizen at this country and going against people that are immigrant. Then I will be mad.

Wow...I don't even know what

Wow...I don't even know what to say. I'm glad you cleared everything up for us, cmofi. First of all, the word "alien" is used in our laws when describing illegal immigrants, it is not just a word to describe life forms from other planets. So, YOUR comment was actually pretty stupid, not my use of the phrase "illegal alien." Secondly, I am "white" and I was born in the U.S., so I actually am NOT an immigrant. Back in the 1600's, my ancestors did come to America, but that does not make ME an immigrant. And since I am not opposed to LEGAL immigration, I'm not sure how that is relevant to my article about ILLEGAL immigration. Furthermore, the U.S. did not just "take" land from Mexico. Wars were fought and land was exchanged according of the outcome. But don't forget that the U.S. PAID Mexico for this land as well. So, if you have a problem with the way it was acquired, please direct your complaints to the Mexican government. Finally, I never said anything about Mexicans taking jobs away from us "white people." But since you've mentioned it...the presence of illegal aliens in our work force artificially depresses wages which results in many Americans not wanting to work the jobs you've listed above because they do not pay enough. It's not because we don't want to do them, we just don't want to do them for $5 an hour. That problem does not exist for illegal aliens because $5 an hour is, in many instances, about a 500% wage increase from the jobs in Mexico. So, before you get angry at me and start talking about pilgrims and propaganda films, maybe you should re-read this article and try to comprehend what it was all about. If you are a knowledgeable citizen or legal immigrant to this country, you'd understand the points I'm making here. Thanks for taking the time to comment/vote.

This is for all the people

This is for all the people who are ignorant. I will point a couple of things out about this article. 1. The term illegal ALIENS is plain stupid, this people wait let me correct that, MY people don't come from MARS or JUPITER. 2. Just because you're skin color is white nad you were born in the U.S.A doesn't mean that you didn't innmigrate this country. Let's go back in history and remember why THANKSGIVING was invented for. The pilgrims migrated from England to the U.S.A looking for a better life. SO YOU WHITE PEOPLE GAVE THE FIRST EXAMPLE, BUT WAIT SIMCE (NEW MEXICO, CALIFORNIA AND OTHER STATES ALREADY BELONG TO MEXICO AND THE U.S TOOK THEM AWAY. HELLO HELLO MEXICANS NEVER MIGRATED HERE FIRST!!!!) 3.IF YOU GUYS THINK THAT MEXICAN PEOPLE OR ILLEGAL PEOPLE ARE TAKING JOBS AWAY FROM YOU GUYS, THEN YOU KNOW WANT YOU ARE WRONG. YOU GUYS WHAT TO (CLEAN TOILETS, SWEEP THE FLOORS, CLEAN MILLIOAIRE'S HOUSES, FLIP BURGERS, PARK CARS, CLEAN THE STREETS, PICK UP CROPS AND WORK IN THE SUN WITHOUT SUNSCREEN? IF YOU DO LET ME KNOW!!!!!!! ALL OF YOU SHOULD WATCH THE MOVIE "A DAY WITHOUT A MEXICAN"

Quick 'Solution'

Command all sentient beings of this world to bow to me as their king! That way, the only borders are household-borders—taken care of by the masters of each house. If the current government wants to incorporate and protect all public property as 'their company's property,' then they thereby imprison all other property-owners to their own property unless the government-company hires-on all property-owners and grants them access to public property. (I'll prob`ly write more about this plan on my boring-stuff blog.) - Call me J, MythMan J

HELLLOOOO?

Wow Dame, I love your passion. :) I agree though, I mean, when the whole "immigrants are going on strike" thing happened last spring, I couldn't understand why anyone would care. I understand that these people want a better life, and that's a noble sentiment. But a heroin dealer wanting a better life through the selling of drugs is still, TADA! a criminal. There are ways to become a citizen of this country. We are happy and willing to take in anyone, hungry, poor, needy, tired, sick, whatever, so long as you go through the process that the rest of our ancestors had to go through. I also understand that the Native Americans had to endure great tragedies at the hands of invaders of their land. What happened to them was a travesty, it was horrible, and we can never hope for their forgiveness for destroying their land, their culture, their families, their lives, their everything. But that's history, it cannot, unfortunately be erased, and we can only move on from here. Mistakes that were made hundreds of years ago cannot be justification for illegal immigrants to continue their crimes. Was California part of Mexico? Yes, but it hasn't been Mexico for hundreds of years, and that is also not a justification for commiting crimes. There is no justification whatsoever. None.
