I'm An MTV Orange Nation Winner!

Okay so I'm probably the oldest winner but I'm on my way to Hollywood for an MTV party!

A couple months ago I was bored and watching MTV and saw an ad for the MTV Sunkist Orange Nation sweepstakes. It's an MTV party sponsored by Sunkist called Orange Nation to be held Saturday August 16 in Hollywood. Well I got online, entered, and a couple weeks later got a call about being a winner. Then I didn't hear really anything about it again until this week when I got my flight information and hotel accomodations.

We will arrive in LA at noon on Friday the 15th and don't have to leave until late Sunday night the 17th, giving us plenty of time to explore Los Angeles. We'll be staying at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel (a 5 star hotel) in Hollywood, which is on the same block as the Kodak Theater and Mann's Chinese Theater.

The Orange Nation MTV party will take place Saturday night around 8pm on the rooftop of The London, West Hollywood, which happens to be where Gordon Ramsay of "Hell's Kitchen" is the head chef. Could I be so lucky to meet the devil himself or at least have some of his food? Other celebrities are supposed to be there too. Will it be Miley Cyrus or the Jonas Brothers? Frankly, I hope not. I'm hoping some obscure 80's star will be there that no one else recognizes (are you reading this Billy Idol?).

Anyway, I will report back after I return. And let's hope the oldest winner gets a special grand prize. Afterall, if it wasn't for us 45 year old pioneers who remember the beginning of MTV, there wouldn't be a party at all!

Congratulations! I must have been in outer space not to have seen this. So you must have just gotten back. Tell us all about it. Hope you had a good time. How was Gordon's food? Who were the celebrities you met?

Congrats. But what is Orange Nation all about? Is it just a big party, or do you have to bob for oranges in a vat of ice water or something? Do they serve only orange food or drinks with OJ in them? In any case, have fun and write all about it when you get back.
