Writing resolution (about writing)

I want to learn how to write.
How to write well that is.
More than anything im intersted in humor writing.
Today i read an email from someone whose writing i like, and it was a reply to a question: 'How do you write'? And what i learned is - the following things
1. carry notepad and pen
2. write when mood strikes
3. revise X 6 or more.

if you read my other xombytes - you will notice that frankly theyre poorly written, not very entertaining, to say they sound like they were written by a (edited) would be offensive to (edited)s.

So its my newest and one of the most immediate goals - to become a good, entertaining, funny (when possible) writer.

Feel free to offer help and constructive criticism.

good point about kids

but the good thing about anger is - its funny. and i love jokes that come from a perspective of anger (think Dennis Leary). but it seems like i have to get better at basics of writing before i can manipulate that sort of emotional content effectively. so yeah - thanks for the pointer - i think its a very good starting place - analyze things from a kid point of view - which also can be really funny.

I think one approach of many

I think one approach of many is to look at a real event and without anger, think of how a young kid would react to it. Kids have a way of asking things we've conditioned ourselves not to ask. I personally think that truth is often stranger and funnier than fiction. Flyswatter Xomba Moderator
