Imagine An Earth Without People

Imagine Earth Without People To Know Impact of Humanity
Human race is impacting the earth and its environment in ways never imagined before. There is greehouse gas effect, global warming, glaciers meldowns, forest fires, ozone layer depletion to name a few phenomena that is stripping our earth of its natural resource and protective cover. Some of these effects or phenomena may be difficult to fathom or observe clearly as the very presence of humans obscure such observations.

A novel way therefore to examine humanity's impact on the environment would be to consider how the world would fare if all the people disappeared. To imagine what would it be like to have an earth without people.

Scientific American editor Steve Mirsky has written an interesting book titled "An Earth Without People" that expounds on these aspects of environment.

The author was recently interviewed to know why he wrote the book and what lessons that can be drawn from his research.
