In-Depth Guide To The Navigation Section

This guide provides an explanation to all the features available to users in the left navigation block.

The left navigation block is identified as the block titled with your username. Please note that this block is only accessible if you are logged in.

The following features are in the order that they are presented in the navigation block.

Post a Xombyte

Xombytes are defined as quality articles, over 100 words in length, written by the author. They are equivalent to articles you would find in a magazine rather than blatant advertisements or classifieds.

Clicking the "Post A Xombyte" link takes you to the "Submit Xombyte Post" Page.

There you will find the following:

Title- Select a title that compels people to want to read what you have written. Keep in mind that your title will be automatically converted to create your URL for your post. Titles should not be sentences, but rather a summary of your article.

Always triple check the spelling on your titles and make sure your title is not in ALL CAPS.

Category– Choose the one category that best fits the main topic of your post. You may only select one.

Tags– These are self produced keywords and terms that will help people find your Xombytes outside of the category structure. Try to use the Xomba suggested tags if possible. These are tags that others are already using that may describe your article. However, you are free to create your own original tags. Please adhere to no more than 5 tags per post.

Body– Your writing goes here.

Click Preview to see what it will look like, check the formatting and maybe do one last spell check.

Click Submit and you’re done! Congratulations you just posted your first Xombyte.
