An Inch High
posted November 4, 2009 - 1:04amI know it's a long way from the 150 words, but you have to admit it says all that it needs to say. My wife and I don't always get along--just like all married couples we have our ups and downs, but we always love one another and never has one or the other tried to run the other off. We get it out in the open fuss about it and get it over with. It might last all day, but when it's over it is over. No kicking out. That is just a poem, but I like what it says, and I am sure that it fits some marrieds to a T.
Sometimes I only feel about an inch high.
From the bottom of my foot to the top of my head
I wouldn't even reach your thigh.
Sometimes I feel as if I'm so short I can't reach the floor.
That's always right after you kick me out the door.

I had to do something like this, or I wouldn't have any or very few poems up. The majority of my poems are exceptionally short, but they saw all I want them to say, and I think all that needs to be said on the subject other than whatever more the compliments might bring out if there are any.
