Indian Idol’ cheered

As Prashant Tamang, 24, was crowned ‘Indian Idol-3’ at the finale of the two-month-long talent hunt, celebrations erupted in the Darjeeling hills of West Bengal, from where he hails.

The revelry started as soon as actor John Abraham announced the name on Sunday night. People from different walks of life burst crackers, and hugged and applied colour powder on one another.
