Indianapolis Colts vs Cincinnati Bengals NFL Football Gameday Today 1:00PM EST
posted December 7, 2008 - 1:05pmThe Cincinnati Bengals (1-10-1) and the Indianapolis Colts (8-4-0) meet in a rare matchup this afternoon at 1:00PM. The Bengals are amongst the worst teams in the entire NFL along with the Lions. The Colts on the other hand are trying to reach the playoffs, they can't afford to lose this game.
The Colts erased a horrible beginning to the season with five straight wins in November and improved to 8-4 on the season with an uncharacteristic 10-6 win at Cleveland this past weekend. Held without an offensive touchdown for the first time since September of the 2003 campaign, Indianapolis got the go-ahead points on a 37-yard fumble return by defensive end Robert Mathis. They will look to keep the momentum going against the Bengals. Indy is ahead in the Wild Card hunt and has a favorable schedule the next three weeks, with Cincinnati, Detroit and Jacksonville on the docket. The Colts will then close out the regular-season schedule versus current AFC leader Tennessee
