Indians on a War path With Australia in ODIs - Verbal aggression
posted October 3, 2007 - 3:07amCricket seems to be turning into a war on the fields. I won't be surprised if, soon we start resorting to solving our political situations on the cricket ground, Much like the Movie "Lagaan!"
What we saw on the ground in kochi during the second ODI between India and Australia, was a definite war cry between both the teams! There was a lot of aggression shown on the field from both sides, some of it was uncalled for, from the likes of Sreesanth, who had to be subdued by the Captain Dhoni, a few times, and eventually got literally knocked on the head by the ball knocked by Dhoni during the last overs.
This was followed by some words excahnged between Harbhajan and the Australian team after he was stumped, and Umpire steve Buknor had to intervene and send him on his way to cool things down.
Here are some pictures :
Volatile Sreesanth
Harbhajan Singh
In spite of all that graet show of aggression on the field by the indian players, they were beaten fair and square by the Champions (still) Australians who won the match by 84 runs.
