I've had no sleep in days!

This last week up here in Oregon has been unbearably hot (to me) at ninety degrees plus and it hasn't been cooling down enough at night to sleep comfortably.

Even with the fan oscillating at the highest speed, we pretty much lay in bed at night and sweat it out - ugh!

All of our windows are wide open all night long in the off chance that a cooling breeze will waft our way but wait... what's that unique smell?

Why, it's a skunk! Now we have to go around closing all of the windows which was our only hope of heat relief but then again, I'd rather sweat it out than be steeped in stench all night.

Did I forget to mention that our neighbors installed a security light in their backyard which spills over in to our bedroom window?

So my nights have been full of stink, heat and bright lights which really cuts in to my writing time during the day due to lack of sleep.

Needless to say, I've been taking afternoon naps to catch up on my sleep and that's when I discovered Omar Sharif.

Our bedroom ceiling is textured in that old-fashioned popcorn looking style and when I laid down today, I just happened to glance up. There was a distinct outline of Omar Sharif, complete with a handlebar mustache and a fez, textured in to the ceiling.

My husband came in and I pointed it out. We both started laughing and wondered how we had never noticed it before.

If I hadn't ruined our camera on our last trip to the beach, I would post a photo with this xombyte but you'll just have to take my word that Omar Sharif is spackled on my ceiling. And might I add, he is just as dashing as he was in Dr. Zhivago all those years ago.

Hmmm, I wonder if Julie Christie is also outlined on our ceiling somewhere???
