Instant Debate: How would you react if your team traded for QB Vick?
posted May 22, 2009 - 10:49amMichael Vick, the disgraced former quarterback of the NFL's Atlanta Falcons, was released from prison this week and will spend the rest of his sentence under house arrest. The sentence, for those who don't follow sports or the news, stemmed from a conviction that his home was used for illegal dogfighting with his knowledge.
The conviction cost Vick tens of millions of dollars in lost revenue, including his contract with the Falcons and endorsements.
The question now, beyond what NFL Commish Roger Goodell will impose in way of suspended playing time, is what impact (if any) he will have if he is reinstated by the NFL. Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank is backing his reinstatement, probably hoping to recoup some of his investment by trading him to another team for a good player.
Some question whether he should be allowed to play football again.

As a Cowboys fan, I don't see it happening. The team unloaded Adam "Pacman" Jones and Terrell Owens in the off-season, so owner Jerry Jones won't go there with Vick.
