Integrity: Broke But Not Broken, I was Tested and Thank God I Passed

Do we ever really know if we have Integrity, unless we are truly tested? I believe not. Several years ago I came to a point in my life where I had to make some serious decisions. When we come to a fork in the road, and we may have to give up something important to us in order to do the right thing, it is then we find out who we really are. Read my story and find out what I needed to give up to hold on to my Integrity!

Living With What We Know

That was a moving personal story.  It brings to mind a line from a Bob Seger song called "Against The Wind" - I wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then.

Actually, having experience in counseling, you probably know that it's not really impossible to "un-know" something. People have coping mechanisms that allow them to brush some bit of undesirable knowledge "under the rug", so to speak.

It speaks of much more than integrity to be able to face some unsavory and un-sought-after knowledge and deal with it in a way that you feel is the best course of action. I personally would call that courage.
