The Internet Makes Me Realize I'm Not the Only One

The Internet Makes Me Realize I'm Not the Only One

That's right.  You're not alone out there!  No, this isn't some sort of feel-good commentary to prevent someone's suicidal thoughts, but rather just an observation.  Is the world getting smaller?  Well, we've known that for years.  But the funny thing I realized today is that there probably aren't too many single experiences that I've had that no one else on earth has had.

For example - this morning I went to make some brownies for a cocktail party we're hosting tonight.  I knew we had a few bags of mix left over from our last party.  Now, being that we purchased this mix at Costco (hence the leftovers) they came about five bags of mix to one box.  Not thinking, I got rid of the box and therefore didn't have the recipe.  What did I do?  I immediately googled "Costco Brownie Mix Recipe" and found not one, but a handful of people that have done exactly the same thing.  It wasn't a problem though; the recipe was easy to find and the brownies were perfect, all thanks to the fact that somone else did the same stupid thing I did.

Is there a part of this earth that someone hasn't traveled, a story or situation that hasn't been documented on the internet?  I venture to guess that if you've had a wacky moment, someone else has too, and I bet the more we write and read on Xomba, the more this will remain true.

If any of you have had an experience that you're convinced hasn't been seen on the interent, I'd love to hear it.  I would, of course, also like to hear other stories similar to mine.  What were  you able to accomplish, fix or do b/c someone else had done it before you and documented it online?
