Introducing The 60 Word Story

If you want to read pages and pages then a good book read in bed, the bath or, better still, on the beach is best for you. Gazing at a screen is all very well if you’re surfing the web or (poor thing you) working on a complex spreadsheet or playing an addictive online game. Reading thousands of words and hundreds of pages online is not good for you and – one day people will realise – is not going to happen.

That’s why online articles need not and should not be too long. Indeed, the best online articles are sharp and to the point. How many times have you read a story online and (even if it held your attention) thought “I hope this finishes soon”?

That’s not to say that all online stories are a waste of space – just that most of them are!

  • Introducing the 60 Word Story!

The 60 word story is the literary genre for which the internet was invented. To read three 60 word stories originally published on Triond but now published on Xomba CLICK THIS LINK
