April 15th is the annual tax filing deadline, but you can get an automatic six-month extension by filing Form 4868 (link to the PDF form below).

You can get the tax filing extension automatically, without having to give a reason for why you're filing late. Of course, if you owe any tax you have to pay that by April 15th, or else you'll face interest charges and possibly a penalty, depending on how much you owe.

Check your 2007 earnings and credits and then file Form 4868 for your automatic tax extension. Of course, if you're eligible for a tax stimulus rebate, filing an extension will delay your receiving the rebate.
