Is It Ok For Christians Not To Go To Church?

Ok, not going to church does not make you a bad Christian. Although, Jesus DID teach the disciples to fellowship and worship with other believers.

Christians are the body of Christ and we are to join together. When we do not join together we are seperated and that is not what Christ wants.

Joining with a GOOD and Holy Spirit filled church is also vital for Christian growth and accountability. It is far too easy in this world to get laxed and sin. We as Christians can keep each other on the straight and narrow path.

If this is not so, then why my fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, did Paul, Peter, John the Beloved and other disciples write letters to the CHURCHES. Do you recall what those letters said?

Well, some of what was taught was in the last days - which we are now living in - there will be great deception and we as Christians must be wise and have great decernment. This is extremely difficult to do without being joined with the body of Christ.

I am sorrowed by the number that believe it is ok to not go to church and honor your Lord God with ALL your soul, mind, and strength.

One more thing, when the body unite in worship the Holy Spirits annointing is so very strong and tangible you just can't believe it. It is like nothing I have ever experienced. We can also serve there.

We can teach, we can pray for others - can't pray for them if you don't go to church because you will never know of the need - we can lay hands on the sick, and so much more.

I ask you brothers and sisters in Christ do you still believe in the healing miracles? This is a mandate that we heal the sick.

Where do you think you will get this annointing to be able to heal the sick if you do not even give of your precious time to go to church one day a week???

Show God Almighty how much you love Him and sacrifice of yourself a little bit and you will be amazed by what He will do in your lives.

Christians are mandated to stand apart from the world. I ask you this - How many people know you are a true Christian? Or are you a "Secret Agent Christian?"

Your Sister in Christ...

Hi Bobbi

I understand what you're saying, of course. But not all "Christians" believe that the scripture is the inherent word of God. Join Xomba!

Christians and the Bible

Although many people claim to be Christians it is an easily said statement. But what does it mean. It is more than a name. If you are a Christian there would have to be some evidence to that end. Some commitment. -Regularly Study God's Word -Regularly Fellowship with Other Christians -Regularly Engage in Prayer -Regularly Repent of our Sins -Regularly Work to Fulfill the "Great Commission" -Regularly Partake in the "Holy Communion" Not believing the bible is God's word leaves no guidance what-so-ever. Albeit attending church in and of itself makes a person about as Christian as standing in a parking lot makes a person a car. But, if a person says they are a Christian and they are not walking with God, then it is only their words. FreeCracker4Jack Would you like to earn money writing similar articles? CLICK ME! Let us not give up meeting together

Hey Kjhack, Well, we as Christians are called to join as one body. So as far as it may not be for everyone - it may not be for true Christians. Those that really abide by what God has instructed want to follow Him in ALL ways, not just what suits them, and not do what is inconvenient for them. It's all in the Bible... You may not be a believer, but your Christians friends may want to read the Scripture to see what God wants. Heb 10:25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day drawing nigh. 25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. (NIV version) 25 Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together [as believers], as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging, and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching. (Amplified version) We as Christians are to live FOR God and Not for ourselves. Too many Christians have become too self absorbed in this age.

It depends on the individual

Some people consider their faith and beliefs a solitary affair. Some Christians I know just aren't into the whole "organized religion" bit. It's not for everyone. I'm not a Christian, nor do I subscribe to any "God concept". But I do consider myself a very spiritual person. Join Xomba!

Should Christians attendchurch?

Great article. We rob ourselves of so much when we decide to give up going to church. Most people I know who have made that decision, soon turn their backs on all things connected with Christianity. Being surrounded by friends who believe the same way we do, strengthens our faith. Thanks for writing.

The Requirement

You're right. I know that when I even get slack in how much I attend, it gets harder to go. When I am consistent with my attendance I love it and love being there. There is such a feeling of unity in my church and it is such a wonderful kinship with other believers.

Fellowship is Required

Fellowship is definitely a requirement. Without it falling away is very likely to happen. FreeCracker4Jack Would you like to earn money writing similar articles? CLICK ME! Read more great articles: http://www.xomba.com/xombyte/free_cracker_4_jack?p

Nice Article

Well thought out. Thank you. Heb 10:25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day drawing nigh.
